Welcome to The
Quays, Ireland's most easterly pub &
seafood restaurant
Location, location, location.
It's everything. Especially if you specialise
in offering the very freshest seafood prepared
to the highest standards. Which is exactly
what the "Q" restaurant in Portavogie
is about. Overlooking the Irish sea on one
side (it's literally a stones throw from
your seat) and the array of tall masts from
the villages fishing fleet on the other,
diners at the "Q" can really enjoy
a traditional fishing village experience
before even ordering from the menu.
Situated less than 100 yards
from the harbour, the "Q" restaurent,
which opened in July of 2002 cooks up an
abundance of the freshest seafood, the choices
for which change daily depending on seasonal
catches. Northern Ireland's most easterly
point, Portavogie is only 7 miles from Portaferry
or 17 miles from Newtownards / Bangor; and
as such is well worth the drive down the
scenic peninsula to enjoy a truly special
gastronomic treat.
As well as being a paradise
for lovers of fresh fish,
the "Q" offers an extensive main
/ vegetarian and childrens
menu where there really is something for
all the family.
The restaurant which overlooks
the beach and green island
is open from 12 noon daily. The "Q"
caters for Private Parties,
Weddings and Conferences with a maximum
capacity of up to
almost 100 guests. Whatever your reason
for visiting the "Q"
this Autumn, their one guarantee is you'll
be glad you did
- no catches!
